McKinney JOHNSON (b. abt. 1798)
Born in Surry Co, NC - m. Sarah (McKinney? - b. 1808) abt 1825-27.
First child was Eliza JOHNSON m. Jacob ROWLAND (b. 1827). Other
children married into NATIONS, BISHOP, & TUCKER families. My
great-great-grandfather is listed as McKinney or "Kinney"
JOHNSON & owned land on Beaver Dam Creek in Surry Co in 1835.
Land was alongside Calvin, Drury & Kimbro JOHNSON who are believed
to be relatives. Believe "Kinney" may have a sister
named Rosamond JOHNSON (b. 1819) who m. Wm DAVIS (b. 1818) in Surry Co.
since he named one of his daughters Rosamond. Any help on Kinney
& Sarah's parents/siblings would be appreciated. Have 5 other
"cousins" who descend from Kinney who are working on this line
and anxious to find info. |
